Message from the Council President

Hi, my name is Karla Guerrero, and I am proud to serve as the Panhellenic President at UConn.

The Panhellenic community at UConn is built upon four core values: Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and Leadership. These core values guide our mission to support and empower over 1,000 Panhellenic women across all UConn campuses. Through academic initiatives, philanthropic events, sisterhood experiences, and leadership development opportunities, we strive to cultivate a strong, inclusive, and impactful community.

Our community is made up of 10 sororities that each bring their own unique traditions, values, and experiences, creating a diverse and vibrant Panhellenic community. I am truly honored to serve as President, as Panhellenic means so much to me. It has allowed me to grow as a leader, express my authentic self, and pursue my passions while being surrounded by a supportive and inspiring community that has greatly enhanced my experience at UConn.

Interested in Joining the Panhellenic Community?

We encourage all interested students to participate in primary recruitment. Primary recruitment gives interested students the opportunity to meet the entire Panhellenic community at UConn. Primary recruitment happens at the start of the fall semester. The most opportunities to join are available during Primary Recruitment; however, students can still join through Continuous Open Bidding (COB). COB looks very different from primary recruitment. It is more informal and, unlike primary recruitment, you do not need to attend events for all sororities. You are welcome to attend events for various sororities, though not all panhellenic chapters will participate in COB.
