Phi Sigma Pi

Phi Sigma Pi was founded on February 14th, 1916, at the University of Central Missouri. We are a gender-inclusive national honor fraternity whose motto is “Improving Humanity with Honor.” Our goal is to foster the ideals of scholarship, leadership, and fellowship, to create lifelong connections while encouraging personal growth and supporting the community. The Beta Pi chapter at the University of Connecticut was formed in 1994, and Phi Sigma Pi is the first and only honors fraternity to exist.

Message from the Chapter President

The Beta Pi chapter of Phi Sigma Pi is a brotherhood that embodies the tripod: scholarship, leadership, and fellowship. Our chapter encourages personal growth through leadership and scholarship opportunities, while fostering connections and helping the community through service. One of my favorite memories for our chapter was attending HuskyTHON, where we all danced and had a great time cheering for the kids our fundraising helped. All of the brothers are kind and easy-going, and we are all very understanding people who strive to become the best version of ourselves while uplifting our fellow brothers as well. Before getting into Greek life, I was very uncertain of what I wanted to do with my free time. I am very happy and grateful to have come across Phi Sigma Pi, as it was one of the best decisions I have made in my life. I have created many close friendships and was pushed to become more involved with leadership roles, which I would not have thought about in a serious way until I was asked by my fellow brothers. I am so incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to represent such a spectacular group.
