Alpha Omicron Pi

Alpha Omicron Pi Greek letters
The first chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi’s history began in 1897 at Barnard College in New York City. Stella George Stern Perry, Jessie Wallace Hughan, Helen St. Clair Mullan and Elizabeth Heywood Wyman were four devoted friends who were determined to ensure that their feelings of belonging and compassion would last a lifetime. Our motto “Inspire Ambition” was crafted to encompass the mission of the Fraternity into two impactful and intentional words. Alpha Omicron Pi not only provides the tools for academic and personal achievement, but inspires its members to reach and embody these objectives during their collegiate years and for decades to follow.

Message from the Chapter President

alpha omicron pi president Estime, Sariah Alpha Omicron Pi is a sisterhood grounded in four enduring values: character, dignity, scholarship, and college loyalty. These ideals form the foundation of a community where every member’s individuality is appreciated, supported, and encouraged. Joining this chapter as a freshman brought me instant friendships and a sense of belonging at a time when very little in my life felt certain. Those connections have only strengthened, creating a network of strong, motivated women. Our philanthropy with the Arthritis Foundation and our involvement in Huskython reflect our chapter’s dedication to serving others, while our academic programs foster both personal and professional growth. This caring and uplifting community has shaped me into a more focused and determined young woman, and I am deeply grateful for that.
