| Kappa Alpha Theta was established on January 27, 1870 at Ashbury University (now DePauw University) in Indiana. Theta offers a nurturing environment for women, provides leadership opportunities while promoting academic excellence. We are committed to personal and moral growth under the values of scholarship, service, leadership, personal excellence, and friendship/sisterhood. Kappa Alpha Theta is dedicated through our vision of leading every member to personal excellence through lifelong sisterhood. |

The four points of the Theta kite consist of: personal excellence, leadership potential, commitment to service, and intellectual curiosity. These are qualities that I see in the members of the Gamma Zeta chapter everyday. The women of this chapter are constantly inspiring me and reminding me of what it truly means to be a Kappa Alpha Theta. There is something so special about being surrounded by people who are equally as passionate and academically driven as they are kind and generous. I will forever be thankful for the friendships I have formed within our chapter at UConn and am honored to serve as our president! |
