The Rho Chapter of Delta Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. was charted at the University of Connecticut on April 10, 2016. Seven ladies: Bernice Sit, Kaitlyn McCarthy, Victoria Moun, Janet Zheng, Tiffany Hsu, Angela Villella, and Sylvia Wang came together with the help of Donna Chow, who transferred from the Alpha Chapter at the University of Georgia, to charter DPhiL on campus. Delta Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. is an Asian inclusive, not Asian exclusive, sorority that advocates for Asian awareness, empowers women leaders, and forges Everlasting Sisterhood. We have over 1,700 Initiated Members, 23 Collegiate Chapters, and 5 Alumnae Chapters across the nation. |

Hi! I'm Anna, the president of the Rho Chapter of Delta Phi Lambda! I joined DPhiL after transferring to UConn, feeling a bit nervous about finding my place on campus. As a transfer student, it was daunting to start over, but DPhiL quickly became the community and home away from home I was searching for. It's so comforting to have a support system filled with people who not only share similar values but also celebrate our cultural roots and identities.
Being a part of DPhiL has connected me with sisters who genuinely understand and embrace the importance of cultural pride and heritage. I've had the change to step into leadership roles, organize events, and gain practical skills, but more importantly, I've found friendships that make me feel seen and valued.
