Founded on September 19, 1963, at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland, Iota Phi Theta® Fraternity, Inc. was established during a pivotal time in the American Civil Rights Movement. The fraternity was born from a desire to uplift and support men who were committed to scholarship, leadership, citizenship, fidelity, and brotherhood. Rooted in the spirit of social justice and community service, Iota Phi Theta has grown into a nationally recognized organization with chapters across the country and a steadfast commitment to empowering communities and honoring its founders' vision.
